  I have owned my Onda V975M from the very beginning (January), so I have a version v1 without Bluetooth.
  Recently (5 days ago) I started having a problem with the touch screen: It registers false touches in one of the corners. This makes it extremely difficult to work with the tablet.

  I assume it is a hardware problem, but it happened without immediat cause.
  What can I do to fix this problem, because I want a working tablet...

- My Onda SN:V975MBE6V4A30068, and I decided to update to firmware v 2.0.1_v3 (previously was v1.1.1_v3) . But after update gyro not working, window stay in only landscape mode. I think this happened after update, but may be something wrong with hardware. Please help me, what I can do, I was very happy wint my first onda but now have dissapointment with second item.

Good tablet for the money i paid. I have used it for more than a month It is fast and display is bright. Launcher is pretty basic and need to be replaced. Mic and speaker are not powerful enough.

The tablet hardware is very good, fast processor, excellent screen.

The firmware is terrible, bundled Chinese apps and configuration that you can't get rid of; and terrible performance with the device lagging, stuttering and generally sluggish in the UI. The power is there, but the ROM is dreadful so it's all wasted. Antutu gave me a score of 30745 but often the tablet feels like it's 745! (Speculation on forums is that it's a problem with memory management.)

There is a custom Onda launcher but that is easily replaced with something standard like Nova from the play store. Best think is to update with a new ROM, they have just released KitKat but it's also pretty buggy at the moment so I would wait for this to improve (they seem to release updates quite regularly). The down side is that flashing ROMs can be a risky business so google well, there is good support out there.

The screen also comes with a protective layer which is hard to remove (need a piece of sticky tape) but I have left it on as it works well as a screen protector (I did buy another that I haven't used yet).

This supplier is fast and efficient, the shipping went well and I had my tablet within the expected time.

However, don';t bother buying the root service, mine came without root and support won't have it, they say it is. WTF! It is not rooted!

The free stylus is garbage, throw it straight in the bin; it doesn't work well and there are some worryingly sharp edges above the rubber pad just waiting to wreck your screen.

A very powerful tablet, competitive price and fast shipment are the KPI of my happiness.
A month ago, I updated the tablet with the official Onda 4.4.2 ROM, but immediately I faced a problem with Wifi.
Whenever the tablet went to sleep mode, I always lose the ability to use the Wifi connectection. I had to reboot the tablet to work around this problem.
For a week, I returned to Android 4.3, and I have all the expected stability.

Everything as promised.

onda-tablet.com said that this item is on stock and will be sent within 2 days. The day after it was dispatched and I got the tracking number.

I had to wait a bit for my order (around 40 days) but it was mainly because of the customs in Portugal.

+ 4.4 KitKit in future;
+ solid and good looking carcass;
+ good price :)

- no Gorilla glass! - ater a couple days of using appeared many scratches;
- irregular backlight distribution along screen surface (especially near edges of the screen);
- 4.4 available only in Beta at this time;
- need some experience to configure it for optimal performance;
- some "garbage" apps - need to deactivate/delete;
- strange stock launcher - need to replace another one (imho);
- ordinary sound quality from speakers;

I am extremely impressed by the overall quality of the tablet. I wouldn't say it is as nice as the new Samsung, but then again it is $300 cheaper. Fair trade off in my opinion! I am not fond of Onda's interface that they loaded on top of Android. It is designed more for the Chinese market I think. I believe they should redo it on tablets they are shipping to the US. They have also loaded Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. However they said that it supports 4.4 Kit Kat. What they didn't say is they have not released the 4.4 Kit Kat update yet. It is still in Beta. They should be more transparent about that in my opinion. So far from a performance standpoint the tablet is able to do anything I can throw at it. I am sooooooo pleased with that aspect of it. Also, not really sure why people have claimed that Onda's tablets have poor sound. I think the sound is excellent and plenty load. It is as loud as any other tablet I have heard and louder than many of them. The battery life is okay. I get about 6 hours of use. I don't play video games though. So a gamer may get a bit less. Overall I think I would say this is by far the best tablet on the market in it's price category!

Exceptional graphics, reliability, consistent speed out of the box.
Amlogic M802 CPU with MALI 450MP GPU with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM storage is the best value I have found.

Easy ROM upgrade and Root using external micro SD card
New ROMs continue to improve advancements.

Many v975m users worldwide with dedicated v975m forums. Many user forums in many languages.

I gave only 4 stars because the current ROMS throttle the CPU to 1.6 GHz maximum speed.

Perhaps the next official ROM might release the processing speed cap. KitKat promised soon, perhaps unleashed then.
Or the v975m.com/forum members may soon offer their own ROM version.

The kit (onda tablet v975m) arrived before five days and it is very good, but the "connection" with wifi to the internet is weak.
Probably because the tablet has one antenna for wifi connection or something else ???
I want to ask you, if there is a probability off 1) increase the signal's intensity and 2) increase the numper of frequencies, with a software or an update and how i can manage this.

Today I have received Onda V975M tablet 32GB version (even though I ordered 16GB one, THANK YOU!), and all I can say it's great. For the money you pay, I guess you can't find anything better. The screen is just superb, the only thing I wanted was just a bit more volume on speakers. The build quality is good also.

I have had this tablet for just over a month the build quality is OK the internal screen is of centre and there are gaps appearing along the edges the weight is 580g not 539g as stated the usage tips is 4 to 6 hours not 8 to 10 screen freeze a lot resulting in contestant rebooting ui is unstable have sent many emails but nobody respond very poor after sales when you do get a repons it is critic . Tablet was 24 days as earned a track number. I want to say the following:

1. In the tablet a great collection!
2 . Quality plastic + metal and glass.
3 . The processor is fast, the result in Antutu 30670 points !
4 . Speakers sound good but not loud, still depends on the video and sound quality in it.
5 . The screen is simply awesome and excellent quality
6. Root established law firmware 1.0.5 installed , removed all Chinese applications .
7. Quality good wi-fi .
8. Switched quickly.

Dislike :

1. wi-fi after pressing the sleep disabled and disconnected SD card too! if you press the sleep button is a Wi-Fi card and again active. this is clearly a mistake and nedorobotki firmware !

First of all here are the pros:
+ really nice crisp looking screen
+ build quality is very good regarding the price tag

But Herr are the cons:
- the tablet performs really bad overall. A lot of lags and freezes. Even typing the keyboard isn't smooth
- since Firmware 1.0.5 videos are stuttering inside the YouTube APP
- no automatic display brightness

I hope that onda will do a lot of optimization work on the software side because the tablet is hardly usable with the current firmware.

Great hardware, looks great, feels built to a high quality, very fast.

The only downside is the lack of European localised apps, so you start off in Chinese. No big deal if you have even basic Android skills, but would make it a better initial experience.

I ordered before the pre-shipping rooting service was available, but it's extremely easy to do it yourself.

All in all, a great little tablet, beautiful screen, fast, smooth video playback. Highly recommended!

I purchased this tablet as a cheap option to an iPad. I got what I paid for. Skype will not work in the UK. QQ international is not compatible with this software. Sky Go does not work with rooted software, although this was not requested. The screen resolution is fantastic and is very quick but first use of this machine trying everything out has worn out the battery in less than 2 hours. Maybe a useful machine for those that are fluent in Mandarine.
